At first I hated this radio because it didn’t have FM/AM. Its just stupid not to, plus I have a FM transmitter so I can get Sirius on all my stereo equipment! But I got over that. I got a sirius internet account, and was fairly happy for about a week or so.
But now, every time I listen to sirius radio, it plays for about 5-10 minutes and then the sound goes dead and the radio reboots! It does it every time u turn it on. I’ve had it do it a dozen times in a row. WTF!!!!!

I recomend this fantastic internet radio by logitech, mainly for Napster, Last.fm subscribers. Beasides that, a lot of nice apps like Sirus, Facebook, etc. It’s easy to use and the sound is outstanding for the small measures of the device.

If this radio WORKED it would be wonderful. In the real world there are CONSTANT drop-outs. I tried reconfiguring EVERYTHING from where the radio is placed to configuring my airport extreme (the new, fast model) to no avail. Still dropouts. And sometimes crazy activity. Push a preset and wait about 30 seconds for it to switch. Push 2 or three presets and in about a minute the radio wil switch radomly from one station to another. For us this item is more frustration than enjoyment. It’s going back tomorrow.

I’ll delete this after New Year’s 2010…
*** UPDATE, DEC. 12, 2009: The price just shot up again! It’s gone up by 28.2% in less than a month! Oh, and since it comes from an Amazon Seller, you have to pay for shipping, too… Merry Christmas! ***
I’ve watched the price of this Squeezebox increase nearly 20% in less than two weeks. If you’re determined to buy it before Christmas, you’re paying quite a premium. It’ll be back down under $150 by the end of January.
It seems like a good internet radio, but I still like the idea of plugging USB speakers into a notebook computer better for all the reasons I noted in my review of the Logitech Squeezebox Boom. Does anyone know if it is possible to jack-in one external speaker into this smaller, “half-sized” Squeezebox? I saw in the owner’s manual page that you can plug in headphones, but I didn’t see any jacks for any other types of external speakers. It would be nice to add a box with one speaker set to what is already onboard this smaller Squeezebox.
